Style Focus: Superdry
Author: Adelle Walsh | April 20th, 2009Cult brand Superdry was founded in 2003 by James Holder (creator of popular 90’s British streetwear brand Bench.) and Cult chain retail owner Juilian Dankerton. After a visit to Tokyo by Holder, he was inspired to create a casualwear brand with a fusion of east meets west styles.
Starting with a range of vintage graphic tees, the line went on to develop polo shirts, leathers and denim ranges of both men and womens. The brand has been a hit amongst the celeb circuit most notably with fashion icon David Beckham sporting a Superdry leather biker jacket as well as the sellout Osaka t-shirt. Other A-listers including Jude Law and Kate Moss have also favored Superdry as their brand of choice leading it to having a global status as one of the coolest casual street brands.
Some of the highlights of this season collection include this cool men’s vintage stripe rugby polo shirt and the women’s honeysuckle camisole from part of the super sweet ‘Vintage Thrift’ collection. Be sure to check out the rest of the spring/summer range now!
