Sienna Gets Inspired…

Author: Adelle Walsh | May 29th, 2009

Fashion is inspired by all walks of life, music, architecture, film and art to name but a few. Twenty8Twelve are no exception and have taken things one step further in their collection with collaborations with some of their favourite creatives. Each season they feature a artist/writer etc. who’s work they use on their designs as well as a token piece of the artist’s work sealed in the swing ticket (so be sure not to throw it away!)

For the Miller’s spring/summer ‘09 collection they called on London born and bred artist Felix Handley. Known for his use of unusual materials in his work from clay and bronze to his own hair and teeth he creates emotive figures, busts and body fragment sculptures. With a BA in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins, he was immediately commissioned to feature his work in the window display of Paul Smith in 2007 and has also featured in collaborative works at the Evil Art Market on Brick Lane. Some of his pieces are currently in the prestigious Saatchi gallery whilst a large amount of Handley’s work is privately owned.

This season Handley has created graphic print designs featured throughout the Twenty8Twelve collections. Shop the latest collection here.
