New World Cup Tees from Weekend Offender!
Author: Darren Ezekiel | June 3rd, 2010As I write this article there is 7 days, 10 Hours, 7 Minutes, 29 Seconds left until the World Cup in South Africa begins… who said I am counting…?
Are you not yet bored of just getting the England replica shirts for 50 quid….? Ok maybe not, but we do have an alternative offering for this year’s tournament from Weekend Offender.
Weekend Offender was born in the noughties by Rydian Powell a graphic designer and Sam Jones an owner of a clothes store. ‘With their power’s combined’ they had the intent of becoming an individual and exciting urban label. From influences through popular music scenes, film and cultural differences, the designs have no shortage of attitude and controversy.
Supported by many including Mike Skinner, Carl Cox, Nic Faniculli, Louis Osbourne Goldielocks and residents DJs and Clubbers across the country there is no doubt the slogan and prints will be a popular look on the festival and clubbing scene this summer.
The offer from the Choice Store is the range of exclusive limited edition world cup 2010 t-shirts with a selection of iconic football moments. My favourite still remains firmly in my memory and this was the Gazza dentist chair after celebrating his goal against Scotland in Euro 96!
If you are not so much of patriot then there are still many iconic moments printed on these tees that will surely give you that nostalgic feeling of what the World Cup brings to the nation. There is the innocuous dive by Rivaldo in the World cup of 2002 held in Korea and Japan and of course the infamous Zidane head butt in the World Cup final from 2006 hosted in Germany.
