With luxurious brands Ralph Lauren, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and more, you’ll be representing contemporary designwear and cutting edge labels for the Choice website. Chosen models will be invited for a test shoot and the winners will announced shortly after.

Choice Graphic Designer Visits The Design Museum

This week I got the opportunity to go on a little excursion to the Design Museum in London to see the ‘This is Design exhibition.. Why? well to check out some of the most innovative design pieces from the last 100 years of course. Anyway I took some pictures and wrote a few words…so here goes.

At a first glance, guess you wouldn’t think that a road sign would shape the visual identity of this country. Food for thought!

Along with the red telephone box and traffic lights, the ‘This is Design’ exhibition opens your eyes and makes you notice the objects that we see every day but don’t necessarily take the time to appreciate.

This exhibition is a display of the finest British Design from the past few decades, some of my favourites were the first electronic calculator, an ergonomic keyboard, the first self-developing Polaroid camera and the Apple mouse, who’d of thought that this would revolutionise the way we use computers.

Job Title: Online Warehouse Operative

Location: Romford, Essex

Role purpose: As an Online Warehouse Operative, your role is to effectively manage and coordinate the online stock portfolio.

Job role
•Preparing and coordinating all online stock - This includes unpacking, steaming all garments, and preparing accessories ready for photography shoots
•Managing all online stock locations
•Creating daily and ad-hoc reports such as auditing using the Choice stock system
•Providing dispatch team support on an ad-hoc basis

What to expect
Your typical day will include: Ensuring that all appropriate stock is allocated to the photography studio using the Choice stock system, preparing (including steaming), repacking and ensuring that the stock is returned to its correct location both physically and electronically. You will also be expected to create weekly auditing reports to ensure that that the internet/photography studios stock holding is correct. You will be expected discuss your findings and correct where applicable by working with a member of the Online Management team, the IT Manager or Warehouse Manager. On a daily basis you will be expected to inform online management of any expected deliveries and your daily schedule.

Hours
You will be expected to work 40 hours a week. Some overtime and the occasional weekend shift will also be required.

The Risk @ Choice!

Our new favourite boyband The Risk popped in to our White City store this week to pick up some new outfits for their tour around the country!
They picked up edgy t-shirts by Savant and Eleven Paris, the Stapleton jacket by Penfield, baseball-inspired gilet by Franklin & Marshall and headphones by Beats by Dr Dre.

Gareth, Choice’s Head of VM, posed for a piccy and donned a new hairstyle to see if he could make it as the fifth member of the band… what do you think?
